Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders appoints Scott Ford to University of Arkansas Board of Trustees

Little Rock, Arkansas – Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders made an announcement today, appointing Scott Ford to the University of Arkansas Board of Trustees. Ford is set to take over the position from Morril Harriman, with his term scheduled to run until March 1, 2034.

Governor Sanders praised Ford’s appointment, underscoring his extensive background as a respected and successful entrepreneur. “I am proud to appoint Scott Ford, a highly respected, accomplished entrepreneur, to serve on the Board of Trustees at the University of Arkansas,” Sanders stated. She emphasized Ford’s contributions from Rwanda to Conway, Arkansas, in attracting businesses, jobs, and opportunities. Sanders is confident in Ford’s leadership, character, and experience, viewing them as vital assets to the Board of Trustees.

Scott Ford’s career is marked by significant achievements and leadership roles. As the CEO and co-founder of Westrock Coffee, Ford has demonstrated his ability to lead and expand businesses. Before establishing Westrock Coffee and the Westrock Group, Ford held several key positions at Alltel Corporation, including President and CEO from 2002 to 2009.

Ford has also contributed his expertise as a Special Advisor to the Stephens Group, bringing valuable C-suite experience to the table. His roles on the boards of AT&T, Inc., and the Agaciro Development Fund, as well as his involvement with Tyson Foods and the Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association, underline his broad impact across different industries.

Ford holds a B.S.B.A in Finance from the University of Arkansas.
