Pine Bluff, Arkansas – Pine Bluff Police arrested a 21-year-old man accused of shooting another man following a brief confrontation. Authorities have charged Kortezz Strickland with first-degree battery and committing a terroristic act after allegedly opening fire with a rifle.
Victim Found Bleeding After Confrontation
Officers responded to a call around 9:51 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18, and arrived on the scene at South Fir Street to find a man approaching them with his hands raised. The victim was bleeding from his right bicep and told police he had been shot by a man wielding a rifle after a tense encounter outside his girlfriend’s house.
Following the initial report, officers conducted an investigation that led them to a fast food restaurant on North Blake Street. There, they located Strickland hiding inside a restroom. He was taken into custody without incident.
Strickland now faces serious felony charges as authorities continue their investigation into what prompted the violent altercation. As of now, the victim’s condition has not been publicly updated, and no further details have been released about the motive behind the shooting.
