Man arrested after video shows 13-year-old girl forced into vehicle outside Pine Bluff store

Pine Bluff, Arkansas – Pine Bluff Police say a disturbing incident captured on video and shared across social media led to the arrest of a 44-year-old man accused of kidnapping a 13-year-old girl.

According to police, officers responded on Jan. 22, 2026, to the Pine Bluff Corner Market at 2118 West 13th Ave. after a video began circulating online. The footage appeared to show a juvenile female being forcibly placed into a vehicle by an adult male, prompting immediate concern and a rapid investigation.

After officers arrived and gathered initial information, detectives worked to identify the suspect seen in the video. Police said the man was identified as Arnice Rogers Jr., 44. Investigators later located Rogers, detained him, and transported him to the detective’s office for an interview.

Police noted that when they made contact with Rogers, he had visible scratches on his face and a busted lip. Those physical observations became part of the overall picture detectives were building as they reviewed evidence and interviewed witnesses.

Video Evidence and Victim Statement Reveal What Happened

As part of the investigation, detectives reviewed security footage from the Pine Bluff Corner Market. Police said the footage showed a female inside the store speaking with the clerk, who gave her a telephone. The female was later identified as a 13-year-old juvenile.

The video then reportedly showed Rogers escorting the girl out of the store. Police said the footage captured Rogers shoving the juvenile into the front passenger seat of his vehicle before leaving the area. Investigators said he drove away traveling southbound on Hazel Street.

Authorities later located the juvenile and interviewed her about what happened before and after the moment shown on camera. The victim told police she had been walking when Rogers attempted to pick her up in his vehicle, but she ran away.

However, she said Rogers caught up with her near the Burger Barn. That was where she attempted to call for help, hoping someone could intervene. According to her statement, Rogers took the phone from her, grabbed her by the waist, and forced her into his vehicle.

The juvenile also told investigators that she was eventually able to break free and escape from the vehicle near Central Park. Police said a witness at the Burger Barn corroborated the victim’s statement, supporting her version of events and strengthening the case.

Based on the video evidence, witness statements, physical observations, and the victim interview, police arrested Rogers. He was transported to the Dub Brassell Detention Center, where he was booked on the charge of kidnapping.
