Pine Bluff, Arkansas – A Pine Bluff man with a long history of felony convictions will spend the next 30 years behind bars following his latest arrest involving guns and drugs. Trevion Dickson, 43, was sentenced to 360 months in federal prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm and for possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
The announcement was made by Jonathan D. Ross, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas, following the sentencing by United States District Judge Brian S. Miller. In addition to his prison term, Dickson was ordered to serve three years of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.
Dickson was originally indicted by a federal grand jury on December 5, 2023. He later pleaded guilty on February 6, 2025, admitting to illegally possessing a firearm and intending to distribute marijuana. Judge Miller handed down a 30-year sentence for the firearm offense and five years for the drug charge, to be served concurrently.
The case began on January 6, 2023, when White Hall Police responded to a report of a vehicle revving its engine while stopped in the roadway. Officers found Dickson standing beside the car. When approached, he fled on foot but was later discovered hiding behind a lawn mower in a shed. Officers had to physically restrain him during the arrest.
At the time, Dickson had active felony warrants and was on parole with a search waiver in place. A search of his person turned up methamphetamine, synthetic marijuana, marijuana, and alprazolam. Officers also found digital scales, more marijuana, and a Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun inside his vehicle.
Dickson’s extensive criminal history includes five felony cocaine convictions and two prior felony firearm convictions, along with numerous other offenses. These prior convictions qualified him as an armed career criminal, leading to an enhanced sentence.
The investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) with assistance from the White Hall Police Department. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Stacy Williams.
