Pine Bluff, Arkansas – A unique and engaging summer opportunity is set to take place at the ARTx3 Campus in Pine Bluff, where teens will have a chance to sharpen their culinary skills and gain valuable life experience. The CrEATe Lab Camp will be held from Monday to Friday, July 7–11, between 2 and 4 p.m. each day, hosted at The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, located at 701 S. Main St.
Led by instructor Faith Anaya, the camp is tailored for youth ages 12 to 17 and goes far beyond traditional cooking classes. According to organizers, “CrEATe Lab Camp is a nutritious, hands-on cooking camp where students will learn food preparation skills.” In addition to learning how to prepare meals, students will also explore topics like gardening, careers in food industries, and the importance of community service.
Hands-On Learning with Full Scholarships Available
Participation in the camp costs $110 for ARTx3 members and $140 for non-members. However, thanks to the center’s generous Adopt-A-Camper initiative, “everyone who applies for a scholarship will receive a full ride, regardless of financial need!” Parents or guardians must read the summer camp manual and complete registration forms prior to the first day of camp.
The initiative is part of ARTx3’s ongoing mission to offer educational, creative, and practical experiences to young people in Southeast Arkansas. The camp provides a meaningful blend of food education, environmental awareness, and civic responsibility—all taught through the lens of hands-on cooking and collaboration.
Families can register online at artx3.org/all-events/create-lab-camp or by calling 870-536-3375. With scholarships available to all applicants and a strong focus on life skills, CrEATe Lab Camp is shaping up to be a rewarding and enriching experience for any teen looking to learn, cook, and give back.
