Little Rock, Arkansas – The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) is urging residents to remain vigilant following reports of fraudulent activities involving lottery scams. Players are encouraged to protect themselves from scammers posing as representatives of the ASL Claim Center.
Fraudulent Calls and False Promises
ASL Executive Director Sharon Strong issued a warning regarding the scam. “We have been informed of a scam caller posing as an ASL Claim Center representative,” she said. These scammers contact individuals by phone, text, or email, falsely claiming they have won a significant prize.
The fraudulent scheme promises recipients winnings of “a grand prize promotion” worth $797,000 along with “a brand-new Chevy 2025 Equinox.” The scammers ask victims to provide personal information such as their name and tax ID to confirm the prize. They also instruct victims to contact fake ASL Claim Center numbers: 888-857-9437 and 501-309-2661.
ASL has confirmed these numbers are part of the scam. The lottery is not hosting any such “grand prize promotion” giveaway. Players should note that the official ASL Claim Center number is 501-683-2060, and winners are never contacted directly by the organization.
How to Spot and Avoid Scams
ASL emphasizes that it will never ask winners to pay a fee, provide sensitive personal details, or visit any unauthorized location to claim their prize. Winners are required to submit their winning ticket to the ASL Claim Center, either in person or by mail, along with a completed claim form. This is the only legitimate way to claim a lottery prize in Arkansas.
If contacted by a suspicious caller, players are advised not to respond or provide any information. Instead, report the incident to the proper authorities.

Players are reminded to stay cautious and only rely on official ASL communication channels. Protecting personal information is essential in ensuring a safe and enjoyable lottery experience.
