Pine Bluff, Arkansas – The Pine Bluff Police Department, in coordination with Pine Bluff Parks & Recreation, has announced immediate restrictions on access to all city-owned parks due to recent threats of violence that surfaced on social media platforms. The decision is being taken as a proactive safety measure to protect both residents and visitors.
According to the department, the threats prompted swift action to limit park access “until further notice,” with officials citing an urgent need to ensure public peace and reduce the risk of potential incidents. In a strong statement, the department emphasized that “there will be ZERO TOLERANCE for large gatherings at any city-owned park.”
City ordinances and curfews related to park usage will now be strictly enforced, and officers are expected to monitor all public park spaces closely. Officials are urging the public to comply with these temporary measures, noting that they are designed to prevent harm and maintain order.
“The safety of the public remains our number one concern. We are committed to taking all necessary steps to maintain peace and protect our community,” the department added.
As the situation develops, residents are encouraged to stay alert and report any suspicious behavior to the Pine Bluff Police Department. Reports can be made by calling (870) 541-5300.
The city has not yet indicated how long the restrictions will remain in place, but local authorities assure the public that updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
