A Modern Take on a Timeless Tale
This unique production of Prometheus Bound offers a fresh perspective on the ancient myth, drawing powerful parallels to contemporary struggles faced by Black men in America. The story of Prometheus, who is punished for gifting humanity the spark of life, serves as a profound metaphor for issues of courage, resilience, and the fight for justice in marginalized communities.
By presenting this adaptation, ARTx3 aims to create an evocative tribute to the ongoing challenges and victories experienced by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities. The performance intends to engage audiences in meaningful conversations about equity and perseverance.
