Bryant, Arkansas – Arkansas’s lucky streak in the Powerball continues, with another big win adding to the list of recent success stories. On September 3, Bryant resident Clinton Keever claimed a $100,000 prize after matching four white balls and the red Powerball in the nationwide drawing. His win comes just after two other Arkansas players scored prizes of $50,000 and $150,000 within the past two weeks.

Keever purchased his winning ticket at S & A Gas and Groceries, located at 311 S. Reynolds Road in Bryant. The winning numbers drawn were 3, 16, 29, 61, and 69, with the Powerball number 22. The Power Play multiplier was 2, doubling Keever’s base $50,000 prize to $100,000.

A Family’s Different Lottery Styles Pay Off

Clinton and his wife are frequent lottery players, but their approaches differ. His wife enjoys buying Powerball tickets and scratch-off games regularly, while Clinton waits until jackpots climb to staggering levels before joining in. With the Powerball jackpot rising above $1 billion, Clinton decided it was time to take a chance. He purchased three tickets at his usual retailer, selecting his own numbers for one ticket and allowing Quick Pick to generate the rest.

The night of the drawing, his wife tuned in to the news to copy down the winning numbers. When her ticket came up short, she asked Clinton to check his own. As he read the results, the moment of truth came.

“What happens if you’ve got the four white balls and the red Powerball?” Clinton asked.

Her reaction was instant. “Clinton, I think you won!” she exclaimed.

Excitement Spreads Quickly

The couple immediately realized the magnitude of their win. One of Clinton’s Quick Pick tickets had hit the right combination, making him one of only thirty-six winners across the country to claim this specific prize tier.

Ecstatic, Clinton and his wife shared the news with their children. The family was so thrilled that they could barely sleep. “We were so excited we couldn’t sleep,” Clinton’s wife said to lottery officials. “Everything inside is shaking like crazy.”

The next morning, they headed to the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center to collect their prize. Clinton already knows how he plans to use the winnings—his first purchase will be a new car.

Dreaming Bigger with Record Jackpots

Though $100,000 marks Clinton’s biggest lottery win so far, the couple remains focused on the larger goal. They admitted they are still chasing the massive jackpot. Saturday night’s drawing carries a $1.7 billion jackpot, making it the third-largest Powerball prize and the third-largest draw game jackpot in U.S. history.

Alongside Powerball, Arkansas players also have a shot at the LOTTO game, which features a $1.015 million jackpot Saturday night.

For Clinton and his family, the latest win is a thrilling milestone—but the dream of hitting the ultimate jackpot is still very much alive.
