Arts & Science Center announces auditions for Puffs play auditions

The Arts & Science Center hosts a free literacy event for children aged 3-6 this October 

Pine Bluff, Arkansas – The Arts & Science Center is set to host auditions for its upcoming production, “Puffs,” a unique and humorous take on a familiar wizarding world. These auditions, slated for Sunday, Jan. 21, from 2-5 p.m., will be held in the Adam B. Robinson Black Box Theater at ART WORKS on Main, located at 627 S. Main St. This opportunity is open to individuals aged 17 and older, inviting a diverse group of talents to partake in this theatrical experience.

A Different Take on a Magical Tale

“Puffs” presents a fresh perspective on the well-known story of a young wizard at a magical school. However, this narrative shifts the spotlight from the famed protagonist to the Puffs, a group that was present during the same period. Their story unfolds in a humorous and epic manner, offering a new interpretation of what it means to be a hero in a world of magic. It’s important to note that “Puffs” is not authorized, sanctioned, licensed, or endorsed by J.K. Rowling, Warner Brothers, or any associated entities of the Harry Potter books, films, or plays.

Performance Schedule and Availability

The performances for “Puffs” are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, April 26 and April 27, and a matinee at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 28. These shows will be staged in the Catherine M. Bellamy Theater. It is crucial for cast members to be available for all scheduled performances to ensure the continuity and success of the production.
