Pine Bluff, Arkansas – The Delta Upcycle Challenge (D.U.C.) is an innovative regional initiative led by the ARTx3 Campus, aiming to shed light on the environmental impact of human actions, strategies to reduce that impact, and the power of artistic expression to inspire collaborative efforts for a sustainable future.
The D.U.C. Project comprises two engaging competitions designed to involve students from different educational levels. The “Upcycled Mini-Sculpture” is open to high school students, while the “Upcycled Fashion Show” welcomes participants from colleges, universities, and trade schools.
Students residing in several counties, including Arkansas, Ashley, Bradley, Chicot, Cleveland, Desha, Drew, Grant, Jefferson, Lee, Lincoln, Monroe, Phillips, and Prairie, are encouraged to participate. This broad geographical inclusion ensures a diverse range of perspectives and ideas.
The top 20 entries from both competitions will have the opportunity to shine, with their work showcased, evaluated, and honored in person at the ARTx3 Campus on April 13, coinciding with Earth Day celebrations.
To participate in this exciting challenge, make sure to register by 5 p.m. on Friday, January 26. The submission deadline for your creative endeavors is 5 p.m. on Friday, March 29.
