Sewing classes for beginners to be held in Pine Bluff throughout March

Pine Bluff, Arkansas – The ARTx3 Campus is offering “In Stitches,” a unique opportunity for beginners to dive into the world of sewing. Led by the talented Lorraine Hatcher, this five-week course promises to be both educational and fun. Classes are scheduled for Saturdays – March 2, 9, 16, and 23, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., providing ample time for participants to get hands-on experience.

“In Stitches” is designed to introduce participants to the basics of sewing in an engaging way. Each week, attendees will embark on a new project, allowing them to explore various fabrics, patterns, and sewing techniques. From mastering the use of sewing equipment to understanding clothing construction, Lorraine Hatcher will guide students through every step.

The course is not just about learning; it’s about creating. To ensure that participants have everything they need, the class fee includes a brand-new sewing machine along with all the necessary supplies. This initiative aims to equip students with the skills and tools to continue their sewing journey even after the course ends.

Whether you’re an ARTx3 member or not, “In Stitches” welcomes everyone 12 years and older. The cost of the class is $300 for ARTx3 members and $350 for nonmembers.
